Robert Sims has had a wide range of musical experience including fifteen years as a member of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

He was  Associate Principal Trumpet with the MSO's Elton John Tour and has worked as a sessional musician for film scores, jingles and big bands. Robert has composed and arranged extensively for brass.

As a teacher, Robert's experience encompasses all levels and age groups from beginners to tertiary postgraduate students and professional musicians. He is Head of Brass at the Victorian College of the Arts.
