Since his arrival in 1994, guitarist Geoff Hughes has performed and recorded with many of the country's finest jazz artists. He is a regular member of the Michelle Nicolle Quartet and has received critical acclaim for his work with the Hughes, Robertson, Browne Trio. He has also performed with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, The Main Event Orchestra, and records regularly for ABC Radio.

Geoff graduated from the Koninglijk Conservatorium in the Hague in 1989 where he studied and performed with Pat Metheny, Herb Ellis, Michael Brecker and Dave Leibman. During this time he led his own group recording for Dutch television and radio and performed with the North Holland Philharmonic Orchestra.
