Emma Anderson

Lecturer

After completing studies in Theatre Production at Charles Sturt University, Emma has freelanced as a stage and production manager in Melbourne for the last 20 years, working with various theatre companies including Playbox Theatre and Chamber made Opera. She was production manager of the Joining the Chorus State Schools Spectaculars in 1999 and 2001 and the Victorian federation Parade, 2001.
Emma also had the opportunity to tour many parts of Asia with Disney Special Events. The highlight of this work was as Stage Coordinator for the 2003 Hong Kong Harbourfest . Emma worked with bands such as the Rolling Stones, Prince and Air Supply.
In 2004, she joined Megafun – a theatrical, event and exhibition production company based in Melbourne.  Whilst with Megafun Emma was Production manager for large scale events such as Festival Melbourne 2006 for the Commonwealth Games and the 2007 FINA Festival. As well as project management on art installations for the City of Melbourne including Yarra Array 2004.
Emma joined VCAM in 2009.
