The Academic Skills Unit at the VCA provides a number of services to local and international undergraduate and postgraduate students who wish, or need, to improve their academic performance.

Assistance is offered through individual tutoring, online tutoring (AIRport), English classes, written material (both hardcopy and online) and small group classes throughout the year. Assistance is offered with:

  • essay writing or planning
  • review or journal writing
  • oral presentations
  • English
  • spelling or grammar
  • reading
  • study stress or time management

Online Support

The University of Melbourne also offers academic support to students through it's website AIRport. AIRport is an interactive website with exercises specifically designed to help first-year and international undergraduate students acquire and develop academic skills.
