Victorian College of the Arts Advisory Board

On 1 January 2007, the Victorian College of the Arts became a faculty of The University of Melbourne.  The Council of the VCA was dissolved on 31 December 2006, and replaced by the VCA Advisory Board.

The Advisory Board was established to provide advice to the Director and Dean of the Faculty, on matters including:

• strategic policy development and contribution in relation to the VCA’s education and training, research, commercial and community relations programs and directions;
• arts sector and community needs for new and existing courses offered by the VCA;
• promoting the programs of the VCA within the arts sector and wider community;
• the development of the VCA’s reputation and financial benefaction.

Membership of the VCA Advisory Board

The membership of the Advisory Board includes individuals who possess outstanding expertise in the fields serviced by the VCA such as leaders in the arts professions and arts community, outstanding practising artists, as well as leaders in the corporate and community services (education, training, research and corporate governance).

The membership of the Advisory Board as at 8th July 2008 was as follows:
