C>Lab Digital
The C>Lab now offers its digital photographic services to artists and fine art photographers working outside of the Faculty of the Victorian College of the Arts at The University of Melbourne. The C>Lab provides a consultative-based service to clients who require a more personalised approach to their print/artwork production. Whether it be a one-off print or an entire exhibition C>Lab can provide you with what you need.
SERVICES
Film scanning from 35mm through to 4x5 inch formats, transparency and negative.
Reflective scans for prints & drawings etc up to A3.
Archival pigment inkjet printing from A4 through to 44 inches wide (110cm) by any length. Various substrates/media including photographic papers, fine art rags and canvas are available.
Monitor/Display calibration for improved colour rendition on your computers display.
Custom printer profiles for optimised output from your own printer.
PRICING
Printing:
The cost of a large format print made on our Epson 9800/9900 is simply calculated at $1.80 per centimetre of length (+GST).
Therefore if your image is 100 cm on its vertical edge (but no more than 110 cm wide) it will cost $180 + $18 GST.
Smaller prints are made on sheet paper using an Epson 3800:
A4/8x10 inches - $20 including GST
A3+/16x20 inches - $30 including GST
Film scanning:
Uncorrected raw scan (16 bit) - $25 including GST (35mm to 4x5 inch formats). Corrected & spotted scan (16 bit) - $75 including GST *
Flatbed / reflective scanning:
For prints, drawings etc up to A3 in size - $25 / $75 corrected & spotted *
* Please note any scans requiring more than 1 hour of retouching will be priced accordingly.
Monitor calibration:
(For computers brought into C>Lab) - $100 including GST
Custom printer profiles:
$70 including GST per profile
