Student Email Accounts

All VCA students are entitled to a FREE University of Melbourne email account.

It is the responsibility of individual students to initiate the process. Assistance is available in the Hub Computer Lab from the Lab Supervisor.

To Set Up Your Student Email Account follow these easy steps:

STEP 1
Go to http://www.services.unimelb.edu.au/

STEP 2
On the left-hand side of the 'New Life @ Uni' page you will find four icons:

  • "my IT"
  • "my Study"
  • "my Life"
  • "my Uni"

Click on "my IT".
This will open the 'my IT' page.

STEP 3
Click on "Email"
This will open the 'Student Webmail Login' page.
Click on the "accounts web site" link in the second paragraph.
This will open the 'Account Registration System' page.

STEP 4
Scroll down to the heading 'Login to the Account Registration System'
and click on the button labelled "Student".
This will open the 'User Identification (Student)' page.

Fill in the following details, referring to the instructions provided:

  • Name
  • Student No
  • Date of Birth
  • Postcode (permanent)
  • Library BarCode (no spaces)
Once finished, click on the "Student" button next to the 'Login' heading.

STEP 5
Lastly, make a note of your new email address and password.
