Space 28 is a large flexible performing space normally capable of seating 350 on tiered portable staging platforms. The suspended catwalk supports the necessary lighting and audio requirements of any performance in the space. It is an exciting venue for theatre performance, conferences, private functions and product launches. |
Studio 45 is a multi purpose warehouse space in the Faculty. It has a concrete floor and vaulted ceiling traversed by wooden beams. Studio 45 is primarily a rehearsal/performance space and has a floor area approx 280m2.
Grant Street Theatre is a heritage listed theatre with 119 tiered seats and a large flat floored performance area of approx. 12m x 14m. The spaces that are included with the theatre are: dressing rooms, foyer and bar area, box office and bio box. Technical equipment includes lights, PA system lighting bars, catwalk and dimmers. This theatre is used extensively and is a Melbourne Festival venue.
Federation hall is a 221 seat lecture, cinema and performance venue. With 16mm, 35mm and digital projection it is perfect for film screenings, powerpoint presentations and product launches. It is an ideal venue for conference presentations. It comes with Lectern and microphone, sound system, video and DVD playback and laptop computer. Federation Hall has a Bosendorfer Concert Grand Piano, and is ideal for small music performances. The venue also has a service bar in the foyer for catered events (catering is not provided by the Faculty).
The Seminar Room is capable of seating up to 60 people and has a permanent seating capacity of 52. Facilities include TV, DVD O/H projector and whiteboard. Additional equipment can be hired from the Faculty. The Seminar Room is in close proximity to the cafeteria facilities and is an ideal venue for conferences, seminars, break-out space.
The lecture theatre is a tiered air conditioned lecture theatre refurbished in 2004 with a 137 seating capacity and facilities including TV, DVD, O/H projector, white board and a grand piano. A control room is available in the rear of the theatre. The theatre is available for external hire as a conference venue.
