Whilst VCA Film and Television doesn’t have any department specific scholarships, there are a number of scholarships administered centrally by theVCA for which students of the department may apply.

VCA Film and Television has a number of awards which are merit based, some are made at script stage and the remainder for completed productions. There is no application for these awards which are determined by panels appointed by the department.

• VCA Film & Television Award to an Outstanding Overall Graduate Diploma Student - VCA facilities to the value of $1000

• Marshall & Dent Lawyers - William T Marshall Memorial Prize to an Outstanding Post Graduate Diploma in Producing Student - $1000

• VCA Film & Television Award to an Outstanding Overall BFTV 3rd Year Student - VCA facilities to the value of $1000
  

• Erwin Rado Memorial Scholarship for Special Achievement - $500
  

• Kodak Award for Best Achievement in Cinematography - Stock to the value of $1000

• Open Channel Award for the Most Daring & Innovative Production - Use of Open Channel Facilities to the value of $1000

• Music & Effects Award for the Best Achievement in Sound - Use of Music & Effects Facilites to the value of $2000

• Mike Reed & Partners Post Production Award for Best Achievement in Editing - Use of Mikve Reed & Partners Post Producion Facilities to the value of $5000
  

• National Film & Sound Archive - Award for Best Achievement in Direction - $1000

• Cinema Nova Award for a Short Film with potential for Theatrical Distribution - $1000 & a screening at the Nova

• Film Victoria Award for Best Graduate Diploma Animation Production - $750

• Film Victoria Award for Best Graduate Diploma Documentary Production - $750

• Film Victoria Award for Best Graduate Diploma Narrative Production - $750

• Film Victoria Award for Best Bachelor of Film & Television 3rd Year Production - $750

• Madman Entertainment Award for the Best Masters by Coursework or Bachelor of Film & Television Honors Production - $500 plus 10 DVD's

• Moving Clickers Kickalong Award to Encourage a Promising Student - $500
