Victorian College of the Arts
Governance

The VCA became a faculty of the University of Melbourne on 1 January 2007. It is governed in accordance with the Melbourne University (Victorian College of the Arts) Act 2006, No. 62/2006 and the Melbourne University Act 1958 (Victoria) and the statutes and regulations that govern our activities, in particular:

The Faculty of the Victorian College of the Arts is accountable to all its stakeholders for the values it upholds, the mission it pursues and the goals and priorities it sets. It must also account to its internal stakeholders and the University of Melbourne for the quality of its policies, procedures, programs and academic performance, as well as for the financial wellbeing of the faculty as a whole, and for maintaining the highest levels of probity in the conduct of its affairs.

The VCA's governance structure - within the framework of the University’s governance structure - ensures that these standards are met.
