Each year VCA Music presents distinguished guest artists who complement the work of its staff, through masterclasses and recital activities.
In February 2008, renowned percussionist and Santana Band member Raul Rekow dropped into VCA Music to conduct masterclasses with a lucky group of Improvisation students. Rekow has been an integral part of the Santana Band since 1976, participating in the groundbreaking melding of Latin, rock and funk styles that characterizes the band's history, a sound that has captivated audiences around the world.
