The show has been designed to support the experience where each site can be experienced individually as a single work, in addition to relationally as three courses (sites) of a meal. Session 3 - Friday 23rd March: Elka Kerkhofs from the School of Film and Television, Master of Film and TV:
Join us from 2pm to 3pm for Elka's completion seminar called 'Survival with a Twist' that looks at the social and historical barriers facing lesbian film directors and addressed opportunities for this group of filmmakers through queer film festivals, queer audiences and online distribution pathways. Elka will also screen her short film that came out of this research called The Confession of Father John Thomas is a five-minute overtly queer animation film about a penis priest, Father John Thomas, who during one of his innocent confessionals is caught out by God, who pushes him to reveal his true self. Along with the filthy fantasies of fellow sinner lesbian vagina Miss Beaver Eater, he finally gets the courage to confess how queer he feels.
