The VCA comprises six academic disciplines —

The VCA offers undergraduate and postgraduate, coursework and research degrees and diplomas in each artistic field and additional areas including

• Community Cultural Development
• Puppetry
• Indigenous Arts Management

The Graduate School at the VCA is the umbrella body for graduate certificates, graduate and postgraduate coursework programs, masters by research and PhD programs. The Graduate School encompasses all artistic disciplines and interdisciplinary research at the VCA and provides scale, focus and effective management of professional education, research and research training.

The VCA offers a broad range of scholarships, awards and prizes to its students.

• College-wide scholarships are open to all students of all disciplines. The VCA Student and Academic Services Unit administers all College-wide scholarships, awards and prizes including the Commonwealth Learning Scholarships
  
  
• Each discipline also offers specific scholarships, awards and prizes exclusively for its own students.
